can anyone explain to me how 2S2P Configuration works?

This is how its wired:

but it doesn't make sense to me.

Also I want to do this for a n64 portable, and these are the batteries I'm thinking about using, but when they stop keeping a charge, I want to be able to replace them. I think the best holder for these would be this, but I don't want to solder to them (for easy replacing). Any ideas?

Re: 2S2P Configuration

They're rated at 80% after 1000 charges. That's one charge every day, for 2.5 years. And then it's STILL 80%. You won't ever need to replace them.

That configuration doubles the amperage AND the voltage.

so is it nessesary to wire these that way for a n64 portable? What configuration is the best?

Re: 2S2P Configuration

Well, this gives you 7.4v, which you need for the n64. And it gives you 8,000 mah of power. Depending on your screen, this can give you some very nice play time. Something around 5 hours.

Re: 2S2P Configuration

So basically, this configuration is like wiring in series and parallel at the same time (I'm seeing how this works now)

Re: 2S2P Configuration

I think two of these (which are the same, but pre-assembled) will be easier to wire, and I noticed it said 6.0A max charge rate, so what do I need for a PCB and Charger?
