A/V Out

I have seen different nodders put the A/V out port in their GCp, but don't you have to take that off to wire up video to your screen? Also, can I use any cable for the video to the internal screen? Like, I don't have a GameCube A/V cable thats not in use at the moment, so could I just strip say a ps2 video cable and use that?

A/v can simply be spliced or you can put in a spdt switch to choose which to use.
Yes any wire can be used but you may see interference issues

I had the same questions too so I am glad this got asked. Not to hijack the thread but since a thread was made already I figured I would ask here. I have a cable that has male component cables on one end and a 3.5 mm male headphone jack on the other end. If I were to wire up a female 3.5 for video out and use that cable, would the picture and sound interfere with each other and get a static image?
