360 ABXY buttons are made of what type of plastic?

I need to know, I finally grew a pair and sanded my buttons so they are flat. Now I want to polish them.

Also switched out the analog sticks with some from a dual-shock.

One would assume ABS

I can't imagine they could be anything else, it's prolly one of those.

If anyone's got a 360 button, look, see if there's a recycling code on the bottom somewhere.
2, 4, 7, whatever, inside the silly recycling arrows.
That'll tell you what the flax it is.

Well, the button is made of 2 parts, 1 is the white inside likely just ABS, then the clear colored part is what I need to know.

Well I need an exact, one might polish well with just a quick flame while the other would burn horrible.

so find out. take a lighter to it and see.

Or just polish it with really fine grit paper and you'll be set, no matter the material.
