2nd Portable nintendo 64 - "Name TBD"

yeah i already tried that the 3025 and 3500 from shockslayer.
but it did not work either. i decided to switch to a PS2 joystick which worked instantly.

its a shame really as the ps2 joystick is alot bigger so i have to rethink alot in the case i designed.

but i can make it work :) il post some progress on here soon with pics.

Well i started putting everything in the case starting with the screen and controller/buttons.
but ofcourse i ran into the next problem.

before i build everything in it was working fine..
But now even the ps2 joystick starts having a mind of his own....

i guess ints interference perhaps ? anyone have a solution for this ?
im using Cat5 cables.

so the problem is that its slowly strafing left and down. when i press left or down and stop pushing..
it will continue to slowly crawl on without me pushing it..
i even shielded the wires thinking it could be interference.

if i for instance push RIGHT while its still crawling left after pushing left it will stop.
same goes for strafing down.. pushing UP

Its the same issue as with the 3ds joystick..
i tried adding 1k/2k resistors but that did not work either.

well i took note of the resistance values on both sticks.
any suggestions onto how to solve this ?

ok tripple checked it.. and this is it.
i somehow see the reason perhaps for the floating like left/down or right/up

the diffrence in ressitance makes no sense to me.. how can the same axis have 2 diffrent values ?
