    XB1"

Thanks, I haven't made any cuts as it costs around $30-$60 per broken board. I do have three test boards and two full console so I might try something later. I'm shrinking the HS, removing the DD, adding an internal passively cooled 180w PSU, and adding two internal (usb 3.0) 2tb drives in raid...

    XB1"

I've been working on an XB1 project for awhile now and think it's time to put it up here. The goal of the project is to slim down the XB1. I've made a few prototypes and settled on the following sizes; .75" and 1". Both are possible, but only the 1" version can have an internal psu. I've spent...

    Disc drive trimming

I've uploaded a picture that outlines a trim that I think might be possible. The ICs that are getting cut control the motors (rectangular chip) and laser functions (square chip). The lid switch also get cut. Before you attempt this trim you should try to remove the ICs to see if the drive still...

    Disc drive trimming

While planning my portable Wii I wanted to make it as efficient as possible by removing components I don't use. As you might already know, the Wii loses most of its functionality when the disc drive is disconnected. So while searching for a solution I came across this guide...

Where to buy screens for portable

JFC :wtf: How is this still a question? It's been answered about ten times over now. There's also tons of information available in the first few posts alone. But hey wtfc? Maybe it's just me but why would you go with an older and less efficient setup? You could find a regular screen with a...

What's the big deal with using the original analog triggers?

Re: What's the big deal with using the original analog trigg I made it in Solidworks using measurements from an official 3DS slider and a really crappy digital caliper. Model (https://www.dropbox.com/s/gr651k45dnambt0/3ds%20Analog%20stick.SLDPRT?dl=0) Not necessarily, the triggers come in...

What's the big deal with using the original analog triggers?

Re: What's the big deal with using the original analog trigg I'm actually planning on using the original trigger in my portable. They work pretty well if you know how to incorporate them. I'm planning on using them as they were. Picture of an early model. Higher Res...

    Gamecube Portable ( Design & Planning )

The plan was to include batteries, but my calculations were way off. Getting 5hrs of battery life would have required me to design this to be big and bulky. If I remember correctly, it would have required around 9,000 - 10,000mAh at 7.4v to power this thing for 5hrs.
