    Speakers crackling/popping after replacing potentiometer?

Re: Speakers crackling/popping after replacing potentiometer Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'll switch out the Kynar wires for thicker wires and try to shield them first. If it all fails, I have a Texas Instruments PGA2311 to try next, and it's designed for audio control.

    Speakers crackling/popping after replacing potentiometer?

I have this Radioshack speakers (specifically this one) that had this irritating potentiometer issue, where the left speaker would be lower than the right one. Placing a heavy book or object on the volume control equalizes the volume, showing that this is a pot issue. I then checked inside for...

    Can I Upgrade This?

I tried the Crysis Pre-Release demo on my PC and it was very comfy to play with when all options are set to High. There are a few frame drops I noticed when lots of stuff is flying around but aside from that it runs nice and easy. Main Specs: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=7453 GIGABYTE M68MT nForce...

How exactly do you encode videos on an AMD GPU?

Correction, that is indeed a 6770. Otherwise I wouldn't be mining bitcoins at 200+MH/s. :P I'm going to experiment with Virtualdub to see what happens. But as of now, keep them suggestions coming. :)

How exactly do you encode videos on an AMD GPU?

Long story short, someone I know sold me an AMD Radeon HD9770 for cheap, dropped it in my desktop, mined bitcoins with it (200MH/s via deepbit) and then played a game with it. Not really interested at all on PC gaming but I'd like to encode video on it. So, how exactly do you encode video with...

@Mario Sure. I'm looking around to try and get the version I would get the most bang for my buck for. EDIT: I like this seller. Replies so fast. Less than 15 minutes. ^^ --- I might go for this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/R-RT6251-LCD-Co ... 3f0d3596d6 A tad more expensive than $33 (up to...

Holy crap, Laptop Screens are USABLE now!

http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/06/how- ... or-for-33/ Engadget just outed an eBay seller that sells custom controller boards for around $33. From what I checked you can have VGA and DVI boards, or VGA and S-video and composite boards. Or another with an Analog TV tuner and some inputs. Works...

    PSVita

The only thing that's holding me from getting the PSVita at launch is developer support from PSP developers that I really like. I always carry a Blackberry (no games) and a PSP because I steer away from smartphone gaming. I also carry a Lithium Ion 5V battery pack for times I would be far away...

Games you are ashamed to admit you enjoy.

Duke Nukem Forever. Despite the bad reviews, I bought it, beat the Single Player, and I had to force myself to stop playing the Multiplayer.

    Post your PC Specs!

============ DESKTOP SYSTEM ============ GIGABYTE M68MT Motherboard - Not a lot, but looks like a sturdy starting point, with a single PCIex16 slot, two x1 slots and a standard PCI slot. AMD Phenom II 1055T Six Core Processor - While one can argue that AMD > Intel, I could encode video while...

PS3 Controller with Built In Microphone! (BIG pics)

Thanks for all the comments! Currently this is a One-Off (like everything else I made), though if people are interested I would make another one with very detailed yet easy to understand instructions, a DealExtreme Bluetooth and the latest dualshock so people can learn how to make these things.

(Did the mod on July 3, Posted somewhere pics tomorrow and then posted this on the 4th. :P I'm a rather heavy Online Player on PSN, and it's not the same without voice chat, being unable to tell what you see or need to tell to make your team mates do something...
