Pocket Protest Audio Amp - LM386

No, that one's still hooked up to the battery circuit I've been saving; turns out my mall radioshack(which doesn't have capacitors) DOES have trimmer pots.

Who'da thunk? :dah:

My "improvements" that I used in the XGC:

Based off of: http://hackaweek.com/hacks/?p=131

I didn't use the cap between pins 1 and 8(This will give the amp a 200 gain, do not want for tiny portable speakers), and I don't remember if I have the one coming off V+ or not. I pretty much built the one from the first post, and then added what wasn't there already. It sounded better to me, so I went with it.

I'm experiencing a high pitched whining sound when everything's silent, but I'm thinking that's due more to the fact that I have the signal wire for the potentiometer going all the way across the portable. :dah: It's shielded, but that only helps so much.
