Need advice for disc lid

So theres the case. I made that little back housing to store both the li-ion cells/protection pcb and the disc drive. Obviously the disc will spin on the back there. I tend to rest portables on my lap when I play, so I need a disc lid of some sort. Id also like it to hit a disc lid switch, which shouldnt be too hard. What do you guys suggest? Im kinda stumped on this one.

Put a hinge at the top, have it swing down to the bottom. Place a ridge around to keep it from pressing the disc.

Thanks for the response. Heres the comparison. (thats the actual DD in there, so that is definitely where the disc will sit)
