Xbox 360 Lan Mod?

I read a while back some guy sellins his xbox 360 saying it was lan party modded. He said that he could eject the disks and the system wouldnt notice, and he could pop the game into another xbox and play Left for dead on two consoles without 2 disks

Anyone know anything about this?
