Xbox 360 Controller pots in a Gamecube

So I'm reviving my GC portable and I actually plan on finishing it. But unfortunately the case I'm using I want to try and make it the trigger assemblies as small as I can. It's a lazer doodle. So I'm wondering if I can use and xbox 360 controller's pots on the gamecube controller. I happen to have a broken one lying around. Would I need to add some resistors to it or anything?

Also, exucse any spelling or grammar mistakes. It's surprisingly hard to type fast on an iPad.

Edit: or original xbox controller ones. I have many more of those.

Nevermind. Got home form school today and tested them. Worked on the first try

Am I the only one who thinks that lazer doodles look incredibly uncomfortable?

They aren't bad. I'll admit, the yellow buldges on the sides are a little hard to grip, but after playing with it, you forget about it.
