Just went to flea market, got a zenith ps2 screen, but no n64. Get this $25 for the screen! However, it didn't come with a power cable. (Anyone know where to buy them?) I found a usb cable that fits and the light turns on, but the screen stays black, is it not getting enough power?

trying to take apart the screen. How do you strip screws that are worn down?

use a dremel but be care ful or heat up the screw with a soldering iron and pull it out with plyers

disclaimer: i have no experience with psone or zenith screens try at your own risk. do not blame me.

I got it out, I put a rubber band over the head and it filled the space in the screw.

USB is only 5V, and iirc Zenith screens are 13.5V

You recall incorrectly. They use 7.5v, just like official Sony.

No, you need the 7.4v supplied to the psone screen to power the video decoder. People have tried bypassing the 7805s before, but it won't work unless you use a step up regulator to power the video decoder.

Yes.

It depends on the resistance of the pots. Pretty sure most are the same, but its worth checking with a multimeter. Then all you need is a pinout, no extra bits or bobs needed, I think.

Muahahahah! I am indeed still alive and I've actually started making progress, not enought to document and show pictures of but still. What gauge wire is recommended for wiring up power?
