Will this smartphone screen work for a GCp?

Hey,

Im new here and I recently came to the the idea of building a GCp with a firend.

I looked for some components for my portable when I stumbled upon this HTC Desire HD screen (sorry, it's on the german ebay site):

I like it because I own this phone and the screen is 480p (800*480px), very bright, has brilliant viewing angles and is about the size I wanted. The prize really is dirt cheap, and it comes without a digitizer, so I won't waste money on that...
Now my question is, will this work? Has someone used smartphone screens for a portable (I suppose they all work in a similar manner...)? And, if so, How do I connect it?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry for my noobishness...

Nope, you need a screen with composite input.

Look up "TFT LCD" with your screen size on eBay.
So, like "4.3" TFT LCD."
They will be labeled for cars and should only cost $20-$30, but don't have sound.
