Wiikey Problems, Again

I was working on my GCp when all of a sudden, my Wiikey stopped showing the GC Linux image when I unbridged the normally closed switch. It just keeps flashing between the reading disk and insert disk message. Also, the power light is really dim. I'm pretty sure it's getting the correct voltage. Thanks.

You make way too many threads. You need to ask questions in your worklog.
I'm sure you've been warned about this already, if not you should have.

If you "unbridged" the normally closed switch then that is why. That connection always needs to go to ground. Except for the moment you load the linux image. Thus the reason for the normally closed switch.

P.S. I read your worklog when new posts are made.

Ahhh. I'd double check your breakout board then. Make sure the FFC hasn't moved around at all. If that ends up being it, secure that biatch down somehow (epoxy, hot glue).

Adding on to what Bud was saying, post everything in your worklog. That's the entire point of the worklog: to show progress and get help. And, there is another thread dedicated to the troubleshooting of wiikeys.

Ok, so I fiddled with the breakout board and ribbon cable all morning. I even gave the wiikey it's own 3.3v power supply. Still no joy.

The only suspicious thing is that the blue LED light is really dim... hmmm. Is it fried, master Ashen?

Its possible, but not likely if you're still getting a blue light on the Wiikey. With all the issues you've run into so far it makes me think you have a loose/bad/miss connection somewhere. I really don't know what else to tell you than to unhook everything. Make sure all your connections are clean and nothing is bridged and then try again. Make sure to double check everything along the way of course.

Close up pictures of all your connections would help me help you a little more I suppose.
