Wii power supply output when not attached to Wii.

When just plugged into the wall, but not into a Wii. Does the power supply output it's normal 12v?

I'm trying to fix a Wii when suddenly the red light wont even come on anymore. Checked fuse and all that and when I try the power supply I get a reading of nothing from it.

Yeah, it's outputting 12v no matter what. I shoved a couple of wires in the connector so I could use it as a 12v power supply

Ok so I guess it died on me then. I replace the motherboard and the power supply dies, what's next?

You can use a GC adapter to power one. Just break off the outer plastic and make sure you get the polarity right.
