Why gameboy called DMG??????????

the subject says it all. Why does everyone call First Gameboy a DMG?

EDIT: Though that could apply to any model of gameboy not counting the micro.

It is. DMG is the model number's prefix, and it stands for "Dot Matrix Game", as previously established.
