Where on the motherboard do I attach a GC controller?

Hello!

Since I'm integrating a Gamecube controller directly into my portable Wii, I want to know how exactly I can go about such a thing. The controller ports take up a bit of space and I'm hoping to deprecate it by directly wiring the thing.

Sorry for such a broad question, but all I could find was how to do such a thing with a hardware Gamecube, not on a Wii.
