Where do I put the disk drive mainboard?

Hey there. I'm Gems, and I'm new here. Nice to meet you all! I've lurked for quite a while now and I decided to make an account.

I'm a bit stuck and I can't find any source that answers a very simple question.

I removed the disk drive, and I have the mainboard. I do not plan to use the disk drive for my build, but I want to be able to use the system menu. I attached the ribbon to the motherboard, but what do I do with the wires? Do I solder them somewhere?

The wires are for simple motors. I'm quite sure it has no way to detect if they're attached or not so you can just take the wires off. You may be able to leave out the power cable from the motherboard as well, but I'm not sure about that.
