Weird 360 Refurb?

As 3 of you may know, I got a refurbished 360 from gamestop yesterday. I think it's a pretty weird specimen, though. First of all, it's an elite with a 16.5A power draw on the 12v line, with hdmi out, indicating that it's a zephyr. When I was looking at it, I noticed that it had a lite-on drive on it, though. Weird, but then I realised that I was using a 175w power brick :S
You know, it might have been a bit weird, but my 150w psu won't fit in the dc in on this 360, but it somehow seems to run NXE fine without any kind of hdd/memory.
Is this just a falcon and/or jasper in a zephyr's casing or some freaky hybrid thing coming out of the basement of some franken gamestop?

Recased Falcon. I've heard there are cases with the wrong power labels on them. It's the power connector on the console that identifies it.

I know that it has a falcon psu connector, but I thought you needed external memory to run NXE on anything other than a jasper. (I turned it on without hdd in and it booted into the newest dash fine)
