This tutorial works for Windows Vista/7 ONLY! Windows 8+ is NOT compatible.

So you found your Xbox in the attic, and looking at that old Duke controller of yours you wonder, "Can I use this on my PC?". The answer WAS yes, until Microsoft took it upon themselves to make installing the driver for it a pain in the ass. But a new solution has been discovered! A program called MotionInJoy, which was made for Sony's PS3 controllers, has support for original Xbox controllers now too! Here's what you need to do:

Make/buy an adapter like this:

Then install MotionInJoy from here: http://motioninjoy.en.uptodown.com/

Plug in your Xbox controller after MotionInJoy is installed and let the drivers install.

Select the "Xinput" mode in MotionInJoy and then click "Enable"

Now click "Vibration test" to see if it worked. If your controller starts vibrating, you did it right. Now your Xbox controller will work on most Xinput-enabled PC games, and even ones that aren't Xinput enabled!

WAIT WAIT WAIT! THESE WORK WITH XINPUT NOW? *Can'tSayThisOnTV* YES!
