Can i use a usb harddrive on the ps2 scph-79001 such as a 2.5 inch usb hdd http://cgi.ebay.com/Toshiba-Canvio-...645?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c5d8a5ff5 ? i was hoping to implement this in my Ps2p.

i think the lines on a usb plug are datta grounding and a 5 volt line.... test it on your pc with a multimeter. i think what i said was right! just deliver the right voltage to it and it should work. it might need ac current though.....
