This isn't be an ordinary n64 system, I am going to make it a system that can play gamecube, gameboy, and n64 games. It will use the gameboy player for the gamecube, and a standard n64 with jumper pack.

Yuck.

That's a good way to gain soldering experience. Also, it makes the whole thing far easier and nicer.

If you see what I am going for in the look, it is what I was looking for.

Again, If you see what I want the system to look like, It is what I'm looking for.

Re: The Monitor64 worklog

Will you remove the expansion slot? If so remember to tilt the legs of the cartslot outwards as its the outer pins that connect to the system.
Black and orange is a nice color scheme :) Throw in some orange leds to make it even cooler ;)

I am not removing the expansion slot because it's already partly in the case, and it would be too much trouble to get it out.
I like the idea of orange leds. I might replace the power on led with an orange one. I can ask Hermaphroditus to make the charge bar on the battery to be orange. I might add an orange led in the controller, right above the start button.

Re: The retro nintendo worklog- 1: the n64

Since I am making this into a huge multi system, It makes some of the previous replies sound random, sorry about that ProgMetalMan.

Re: The retro nintendo worklog- 1: the n64

I want to work on a similar project at some point; if the wii64 gets a more stable framerate, I I plan to combine a Wii with a retrode

Re: The retro nintendo worklog- 1: the n64

I doubt it; hasn't been updated in 2 1/2 years.

I can dream can't I?

also if the wii U can use this homebrew reasonably unmodified it might happen.

EDIT: Not using the tristar, it is giving me problems, so i guess that is one less thing that I have to worry about.

UPDATE: I'm not going to think of this as a portable anymore (because it really isn't portable) I'm going to think of it as a battery powered mod with a screen.

I'm going to try to say this the nicest way possible.

Nobody gives the slightest *Can'tSayThisOnTV*.

Not really worth an update. :neutral2:

screw it, I'm not going to do a worklog on this.
Don't act like that you won't be liked around here acting like that.

to much negative feedback.
I don't see any negative feedback in this entire worklog just people's opinions and constructive criticism. Keep posting on your worklog and stop acting like that.

Having everything in 1 worklog rather than 3 would also be optimal.
Well, I have no idea where to put the gamecube part, but I guess I'll post it here eventually and I'll continue the worklog.
