So I bought a Broken PS3 off of Ebay for $90. The problem is the infamous no video display, or the "Black Screen of Death," if you will. I tried the "holding the power button until the double beep" thing. No luck. Tried the "removing the hard disk" thing too. Still no luck. Help me fix this thing for little to no cost. Thanks.

You should try a reflow on it...

Remove heatsinks, put motherboard on standoffs made of screws.
Put the PS3 mobo on a griddle and very slowly heat the griddle, in turn heating the motherboard slowly. This is to reduce warping.
Add flax tons of liquid flux to the GPU.
Slowly add heat to the GPU with a heat gun.
Let the GPU cool.
Heat it up some more.
Add more flux, repeat.
