Ps2 portable questions :3

Hello! I'm new to this forum and wanted to make my own portable ps2, I've been reading a lot on these forums and I see that the three most important aspects are, the housing, the screen, and the battery. I'm still doing the design of the casing xD, but I'm looking at the issue of the battery and screen, had thought of this screen: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000OS3O24/
and this battery: http://www.batteryspace.com/Airsoft-Gun ... ttery.aspx (two or three of theirs because the litlle mAh)
the 8.4v battery could be connected directly to the ps2, without having to put a regulator or anything? :D

No, don't use NiMh batteries. Try to find an Li-Po or Li-ion.
That screen is probably terrible. Look up "5" TFT" on eBay.

Hello :D ! all the batteries have i found of li-ion and li-po ones are 7.4v 9v 11.1v, what can i do to regulate the batteries to 8.5v? i found a couple of posts of how to regulate but no one explains it at all, you can tell me how or pass a link to a page? i think i am searching bad for the info jajaj my bad english

if your looking for a cheap solution just buy two 7805 and one 470 resistor and one 220 resistor that should do the trick for you

No, there is a switching reg floating around somewhere that supports 8.5V. Linear regs are inefficient.

If you look in the voltage section in general modding and electronics there are many switching regulators that will do the job for you. Such as this If you look at the data sheet you there is all of the information you need to get 8.5 volts out of it.
