man that fan is a slim model ps2 fan originaly the are 8.5v and the lowest volt they will work is 7.9v sorry man that fan is not going to run at 7.4v but the ps2 fats fan will and even under the lowest ps2 fat model fan run on is 5.5v tested by me and also my first gcp has a ps2fat fan runing on 5.5v

thanx for the tip, casperrojas :)
should have figured the ps2 silm fan is only for 12v and not lower than that.

i had a fat PS2 sometime ago for Fatboy PS2 benny, and i had it's fan, only i had known it could run on a 7.4v battery:

but i didn't keep the fan, i didn't know i would need it :(.

also, since your using a ps2 fat fan, you can run it on both 12v and 7.4v?

oh no man if you feed 12v the the ps2fat model fan you will kill it it only goes as high as 7.8v and as low as 5.1v and it will keep spinig at full speed

i charged my pack using the TLP-4000 charger from battery space that i got,
it took only 4hours to fully charge the pack ( it uses a current of 1000mah)

as opposed to the compact charger (the one the battery came with (uses 600mah, not very convenient :( )

and it said the full power of the pack was 7.67.6v, but when i tested this on my gc, i got the fan issue :(.

but recharging the pack using the TLP-4000 charger from battery space however gives the pack's full power as being: 8.36-5v :)
very different from the compact one, and guesss what?

the fan actually runs fine and doesn't stop at this power and with speaker on etc which is fantastic news :)

thanx for the info on the ps2 silm fan, casper you helped me out on this matter :)

the fan didn't have the need volts (7.9v lowest) to run at full speed :)
