I was wondering if this could be used to allow you to use a 7.4v battery and still get 11/12v?I looked it up on wikipedia and it says they are mosly used for low voltages but could you maybe with the right components design it to handle 7.4------12.v? I know wiki isnt always relyable but...

Oh and on a vacuume table could I cut the plastic off a tote or a garbage can and use it to make the molds?

Thanks people :)

A buckboost regulator is a way better idea. Not to mention that almost no console actually needs much higher than 5v.

A Joule Thief is basically a really simple, extremely inefficient switching boost regulator (might be buckboost, I'm not sure). The Joule Thief circuit will not provide enough amperage or suitable efficiency to power any sort of gaming device.
