Overheating Backlit+Biverted Gameboy DMG

Hey guys, this is my first post here. I figured this would be a good place to ask this question, looking through the many topics with knowledgeable members in the community!

I have painted, backlit, and recently biverted my old Gameboy. Pictures:

So, I finished up the bivert mod last night, closed it up, and proceeded to play. All was well (the increase in contrast truly surprised and impressed me!), until I noticed-- in the bottom left corner, the Gameboy is heating up a whole lot!! I opened up the Gameboy after playing to find out what was getting hot. Here's what I found:

Does anyone know how I can fix this, or what is going on? It didn't do this before I did the biversion-- now that it is biverted, the Gameboy is extremely tight when it is closed, but I don't see why that would cause this to heat up-- I wonder if something is touching that shouldn't?

Any input you guys could provide would be fantastic. Cheers!

well if you wanted you could drill some holes over top of it to let the heat out or drill it and put a tiny heat sink on it

I have no clue what's going on because I know nothing about gameboys, but I like your color choice. :)
