Hello everyone, been browsing the forums for a while and recent have got inspired to start a portable GameCube.

So far I only have the adapter for the wiikey soldered up and waiting for my wiikey to arrive.

I will install this in the GameCube possibly later this week.

Thanks,

Pretty nice! One little tip, pins 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 are ground, so I suggest you just make a solder bridge across the pins, instead of wiring each individual pin. Pic:

For the "wii eject button" closed tactile, how exactly does this contribute to portables? A lot of time I just see the Open Disc switch on the exterior of the model, but nothing about the closed tactile.

The closed tactile is for the wiikey or else it wont turn on when the gamecube loads up. Basically it initiates the wiikey and tricks it into this special mode.

Cheers, Wes

Does it have to be a normally closed switch or can i keep it low, seeing it looks like that pin in active high... Or is this thinking completely wrong?
