NTSC N64 Running off PAL power cord

Quick question.

I [stupidly] bought a cheap Banjo Tooie cart of eBay. Since I live in Aust. it won't work.

If I buy an NTSC N64, would I be able to use the PAL powerpack instead of needing a power plug conversion thingy?

Cheers guys.

McBlasian.

The power packs are interchangeable, as are the AV cables. The video standards, however, are not. PAL TVs generally support NTSC as well, NTSC TVs never support PAL.

Actually, most new NTSC TVs support PAL. Pretty much anything 20+ inches made since 2008. Just want to make sure before you buy, though.

None of the TVs in my house support PAL, not officially anyway. I can confirm my 27" CRT will NOT do PAL, never tried the 46" LCD. Maybe I just got unlucky, or maybe it depends on brand.

Yeah, your CRT is probably more than a few years old, too. Try your 46" LCD, I would not be surprised at all if it works!

Dave, what kind of TV will you be using it on? Can you give me a model number?

It's a KROSS LCD, model: TS-15LCDTV
That's all I can tell about it... I'm guessing it's around 18" but that obviously won't help.

Thanks though!
