New Gamecube Portable Worklog

I suppose now is as good a time as ever to enter the portablizer's club, and what better way than to portablize my first and one of my favorite game systems: The Gamecube!

Features:
Rev. A GCN mobo- original regulator
14.8v 6.4Ah lipo battery pack
PsOne Screen
Original Disc Drive
Memory Card Ports
4 controller ports
AV multi-out port

The gamecube has been taken apart and some of the unnecessary ports (serial ports 1 and 2) have been removed

How should I keep this thing cool?

For some reason the regulator stopped outputting anything on the 12 volt line. Any ideas on what's wrong? or should i just input a different voltage such as the 14.8v from my battery pack or the 7.2v that will go to the screen?

Finally, will the stock fan work on 14.8v?

I would say just hook up 5v to the 12v spot on the mobo and the fan. The stock fan probably won't run on 14.8v without frying.

Mine supported 36v half hour with my 14.8v battery pack(before totally out of power).

i don't know if the stock fan run with 5v line. ShockSlayer says that could run with 5v line.

Psone screens can only handle up to 8.5v with a minimum of 7v. So your probably going to have to build a custom reg for it. While your at it hook the fan and 12v line up to it also.

Progress:

I think I broke my motherboard. hailrazer is selling rev c cubes, I'll probably buy one from him.

Got my regulator from TI

Decided on case: It will be a wooden, laptop style case with controller and memory card ports on the front

Still need to do:

Buy batteries (have them picked out from batteryspace)

Buy a few components

How do I wire up a headphone jack to the psone screen?
