Why powerboard from gamecube? But yeah you could technically run it from 11v, the problem is for your screen? Which one do you use? Usual cheap tft screens from ebay should run it but a psone screen will not... And another point is that it could heat up a little more than from a 7.4v line, which could be a problem for a portable... But yeah, it would work!
