N64 rumble question.

I am going to LED mod a translucent controller, and was wondering if it was possible to connect to one of the rumble pins on the controller board (rumble pak not inserted) to get the LEDs to turn on/off, or maybe flash/dim whenever the rumble pak (if inserted) would be activated. Anyone know if this is possible, and if it is what pins I would need to connect to?

u should use a mulitmeter and see what voltage it puts out is and if its to high or low to power an led. if it has voltage without it rumbleing then u will know if the led will constantly be on or if it will come on when the controller rumbles
