[N64 Portable] What Battery

Hello all,

I am currently in the process of building a N64 portable. I have begun to order my parts but am currently stuck on the battery.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a specific battery to use? Ideally I am looking for something that is rechargeable and will already have the protection circuit.

I don't know that much about batteries but i decided to use BP 911 Camcorder batteries in my future project ( N64p )

7.4v should give you all you need for an n64p. 2 battery packs with the protection circuit already installed and a charger for it. wont find a better deal for the money and power of the batteries.

That looks sweet. What is the mAh tho I cant seem to find it?

Also for that type of battery how does charging work? Do i have to make it so the battery pack can be removed?

What parts would I need to do this? Would the wiring inside be basically the same?

EDIT 2: The battery holder with shipping is a bit expensive. Approx. $25USD.

So I am wondering if I could buy this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Changing-Canon- ... 2a337d9479 and just add wire's to the contacts on the back?
