N64 green screen

I've relocated the cart slot on my N64 board (rev.3), and now, whenever I power it up, all I get is a fuzzy green (sometimes blue or white) screen for about 1 second. I can't find any bridging ANYWHERE. :(

Any advice?

P.S. I ripped out the onboard ram, but I have an expansion pack connected, which I tested in another system. It works. I also checked each pin on the jumper pack slot.

Haha, it's totally not practical at all but hey, it should technically work. That said, if you actually ripped it off and broke the traces, then it won't work.

Well, if I recall correctly there is a trace that daisy chains the different RAM chips, instead of being parallel like the others. Google the datasheet for MSM5718C50, which is more or less the same thing the N64 uses. Check for the SIN/SOUT pins. Usually, the SIN signal from the N64 goes to the first chip. From there, the SOUT signal from the first chip goes to the SIN signal from the second chip. The SIN pin probably stops where you removed the chip, instead of reaching the SIN of the expansion pack.

If I am correct, bridging the sin and sout pins (pins 20 and 22) on the empty footprint will get it running again. Why does it work in the video? No Idea
