I figured as I have now ironed out all the little probs it had that my n64p is now offically finished.

Brief spec:

1996 PAL n64 board
ps1 wild things screen, audio amp
official n64 controller
two 7.4v batteries 4000mAh. Roughly around 3hrs playing time.

It started out from this:

and finished looking like this:

Trimmed down screen cover:

Me trying to film me playing it:

Only downside is that it doesn't support memory cards or rumble packs as I couldn't get all the wires to fit. Not the end of the world I suppose.

Re: My first portable "Clarky64"

Beautiful. Just beautiful. Frankencase FTW. I love this portable for the simple fact that you took a household item and turned it into a GREAT protable without having to change TOO much of the original case! I LOVE frankencased projects over CNC and Vaccumed cased projects, they have a resourceful creative touch to it. Thank you Clarky for this wonderful contribution to this community. Stick around, I expect GREAT things from you, great things indeed ;)

Great stuff! Frankencasing really show what modders can do with what they have.

Re: My first portable "Clarky64"

Happy to see this in the "finished" forum, Clarky. Props for using a Linksys case, also.

Adding to the N64 megasticky.

Re: My first portable "Clarky64"

Sure is an interesting design. How easy is it to use playing with your hands above the screen like that?

Re: My first portable "Clarky64"

This has just been awesome from the start. It looks freaking amazing! Great job!

Re: My first portable "Clarky64"

Wow. Just, wow. Awesome end result. I envy your skills, and I love your sheets.

Re: My first portable "Clarky64"

Beautifully done, but that layout is teh weird!

Re: My first portable "Clarky64"

That thing came out hundreds of times better than I expected from the first pictures. Great job, dude :)

Re: My first portable "Clarky64"

Thanks guys.

I'm over the moon at how it came out in the end :D

I owe a big thanks to the whole mod retro community for all the help provided along the way in this build. Without the info you guys provided, this most probably wouldn't have even started.

Re: My first portable "Clarky64"

You should make a video of yourself playing this. This is so awesome.
