So, the Gamecube Microcon controller from Madcatz is popular to use in portables, most notably for the smaller front buttons and triggers. Couldn't really find any sizes or pictures online that explained the sizes, so now that I got one I decided to document it. The pictures are quick and easy, but better than nothing, a board scan would be nice if anyone has one
If you see any uncertainties or anything that can be improved, let me know.
First thing first, here are the button sizes. They are measured with a
Guide height is the small ridge that stop button rotation.
Button - diameter - height - guide height
A - 13,27mm x 13,65mm x 7,79mm
B - 7,58mm x 14,99mm x 9,08mm
For the kidney shaped X and Y, the top dimensions are the largest across.
Button - top - top - height - guide height
X - 5,98mm x 11,88mm x 14,78mm x 7,47mm
Y - 6,01mm x 11,95mm x 14,85mm x 7,88mm
L and R - top viewed
22,57mm x 15,55mm

Rough size comparison with Official controller
Top of board
Bottom of board. Wires are labeled; 5V, MGND (motor ground), GND, I/O (data line), 3V
Remove the two screws of the analog trigger. When the trigger is pressed the arm with the hole is moved down and the potentiometer on the right is rotated. The triggers hold together, which is why it's popular in portables - easier to mount.
Size comparison with of the triggers, notably smaller. Sorry I *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ed up the placement between the shots
Finally the front buttons
