LM2596 Buck converter help!

I was wondering how exactly do you wire this step down regulator?

Do you still need a 2k resistor and the 100uf capacitor? If so where do you put them?

You won't need either. It has a built in pot so you can change the output voltage. Just rotate the little gold knob on top of the light blue piece.

EDIT: And if you haven't ordered it yet, you can find them for cheaper, like under $5 USD

Yeah. But that's about it! It'll probably get hotter than its TI equivalent, but you shouldn't need a heatsink.
