Help with fiberglass!

Hey, I was just wondering if I could use something other than fiberglass fabric.
Like paper towel or some type of cloth or something as I dont like the idea of using fiberglass fabric.

I'm planning on using it to build a case for a Nintendo 64 portable.

You can use the resin with something other than fiberglass matting, or even by itself.
At that point, it stops being fiberglass, though. It instead becomes resin imbued paper towels (Not the best idea) or just cast resin.

A lot of speaker box makers use felt.

Thanks, i've also heard lycra and other textiles can be used as well.
