Help Desoldering a Cartridge Slot

I'm having some difficulty desoldering the cartridge slot on my SNES. About 50 of the 62 pins are free, but I have around 10 or so that just will not desolder. They look like the solder is level with the board. I try pressing the desoldering iron against the pin (covering it) and trying to melt the solder surrounding it, but the solder doesn't melt.

Do I need to clean the tip of my desoldering iron (Iron with the big red bulb)? Or is there something else I'm doing wrong?

If the above does not work, you should probably put some napalm on the board and light it. It gets plenty hot, and should melt the solder.

Well, tried the add solder method. Worked for a couple. Going to try some desoldering braid/wick once I have another chance to go to Radioshack again. Thanks guys!
