Heatsinks - Gamecube

What kind of heatsinks are suitable for a GCp?

If I had the whole back side of my case be a big sheet of copper and use thermal paste to attach it and epoxy the sides of the board down, would that be enough to keep it cool?

I dunno, it might. I know nothing about replacing the heatsinks.
I can tell you that wherever the chips are, it's gonna get pretty freakin hot.

I once used an Iceberq 4 pro heatsink on a gamecube. It was enough to keep it running cool, no problems whatsoever. It doesn't cover the entire cpu + gpu, as seen here: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2018

But as I mentioned, works very well. It's about a centimeter tall, if I recall correctly, but I'm unsure. Built in fan is wins.

Those heatsinks look nice!
But, for some reason I HATE fans... I don't know why.

Would it help if I used thermal epoxy to attach finned heatsinks to the back of the copper sheet?

If nothing else, I'll use what zeturi did and just drill a huge hole in the back for it to stick out.

Make a copper heatsink that is longer than the mobo on one side by about 3", then put copper RAM heatsinks on that fin facing the back of the board, making it no thicker than normal.

Hmm, that sounds good but I'm still afraid of what SS said about it being really hot on the backside where the chips are.

get a little fan...20mm or a bit bigger 40mm and put it at 7 volts or 6...it will be slow and still put the hot air out....
