These are not all the ones I have. Jlee, wanna make a big post explaining HMDs?
First off, my Virtual Research V8. Airforce surplus, used in the mid-90s for fighter jet training simulations. Got mine from a a good place, for a good price.
640x480, adjustable IPD and focus, 65 degree field of view, 3D capable, motion tracker, Senn HD25 audio modules.
Control Box:
I will take pics of me wearing it sometime.
Next, my Liquid Ocean MRG2.2. Display unit at CES for several companies. I am currently installing a new 1280x800 panel in it, which is ABSURDLY high for an HMD. 95 degree field of view, about the same as a 400" screen 5 feet away. Right now, I threw a PSone LCD in it to replace the flaxty old 240x240 VGA panel. This baby is my upgrade fetish. Expect to see some cool pics in the next month when this thing is done, it will beat the specs of any sub-$20,000 HMD on the market. Again, I will have to get pics of me wearing it sometime, I need help for that.
This is a custom one, too, obviously WIP. BlackShark optics combined with VR920 guts? Sexy. 47 degree field of view, nothing this small under $1200 matches it.
The actual LCD. 0.4", 640x480.
I have even more, but those were the only ones I had pics of lying around on Facebook.
