Hacking a screen without av cables ?

Hi, I'm thinking about a project: putting a raspberry pi in a game boy color case with an emulator, but I need a tiny lcd screen, like 2.3". So I would like to know if it's possible to hack a screen from a cheap no name game console with this size of screen and allow it to get VGA or composite video signal ?
If it's possible, how ?

If it is a colour LCD, Then yes technically its possible but it would be very hard. If you need a screen that size then check HERE

I got a kickass 2.5" screen from eBay once for $20. Chinese shipping, so I had to wait, but it was worth it.
