Good Case or not?

I wanted to make a portable, and figured the Atari 2600 would be the easiest for a beginning.

Heres what i wanted to gut out and use as a case.

Im wondering if I gut it out, it will have room for an Atari 2600 and a GBA screen with a screen light mod?

The thing comes with a D-Pad, A+B buttons and a speaker, so I'd thought id just use those.

Dont laugh at me if im being super stupid. Thanks :)

You need to do research before making claims about what you are going to do.

You can't use a GBA screen for this.

I thought so too. So im going to have to get a screen with A/V, then do the A/V mod on the 2600, would be the way to go right?
I already had a GBA screen and thought maybe, I was stupid for thinking it would.

Thanks though, also, would the case work? Im thinking of either 2.5" or 3" screen.

Pustom 2.5" screens are good.

And I would suggest using a case from a Linksys router or something, those are usually pretty good.

Ok thanks.

Ill use an old dlink router case i have. its completely uniform, no curves or ups or downs.

I might go for 3" because its kinda big.

Also, can that dpad, A+B buttons and speaker be good for this project?

I have two of those, so i could put a speaker on each side.

Thanks again.

Those buttons aren't terrible, but if you have a spare controller of anything I'd just use those buttons.

Thanks for helping a newbie!

Do you have any tips for the 2600.

I am reading on BenHeck's atari pages and Modretros.

I honestly had no luck whatsoever with it. I had Rekarp's (Longhorn Enginner) up and running on the first try.
