GCu V2

This one is being built on commission. My first wii u style one used a vac formed case and had an original disc drive. This one is using the actual wii u carrying case and a wiikey fusion. It has a 7 inch screen and all original buttons. I'm using thin lipo batteries because this case is very thin (2.5cm in most areas).

Anyway.. Pics.. All I've done was use some jb steel stick and put all the pieces in. I'm waiting on some jbweld in the mail and then i can start filling.

Hey gman, are you going to use a step up regulator to power the screen? As far as I know 7 inch screens require 12 volts.

It should work off of 7.4v, but if i have problems then i'll have to use a step up

Looks great! How will you do the the triggers? Any tips for filling in the shoulders?
I think I'm going to use ps2 shoulder buttons for the triggers. Just use a lot of filler and sand it down and do all this while both halves are connected so that way it lines up properly.

Progress..

It's hard to get a good pic of it cause its so shiny but here you go. I'm gonna wet sand it and then put another coat on when it dries.

The back is almost done. I just need to add holes for the various switches and jacks. As you can see, I finally pushed myself to add 2 more screw posts even though it was frustrating to build and I hated every second of it. :evil2: I still dont know what I'm doing for the shoulder buttons...

Bungle is amazing! He sent me some shoulder buttons that fit in the wiiu case hole that he molded himself. He even made a hinge system for it along with a tact switch holder. They look awesome and the best part, he sent them for free! :congrats:

Also, I got everything mounted in the top half and the controller is all wired up besides the shoulder buttons.

Audio problem: My audio sounds like explosions... I have tried many different points and they all sound the same. I've tried using my audio amp and the tv and no difference. I dont know what to do. Unfortunately, i didnt test the gamecube before i cut it so idk. Help?

Yeah, my audio sounded like explosions once... it sounded kind of 8-bit, too. Even an AV chip transplant didn't fix it, though, the problem stayed after doing that. You'll have to get another other motherboard.
