GC Memory Card Slot Relocation

I've been having a problem relocating my memory card slot on my gamecube, whenever I plug a card into it, the gamecube will say, the device in the slot cannot be used. Ive wired twice to make sure and it still says it. Not sure how to get it working, any suggestions?

Make sure all the pins are still in the slot all the way. Then make sure you wired it right.

I've checked a lot and they are all wired right. So on the slot, I have six pens bent up to solder to easier. Is that affecting anything? Should I bend them back to their normal spot?

I doubt it's affecting anything, but I would check inside the slot to make sure that all 12 pins are in the right place.

You have checked all of the things than I also can not figure out where is the problem occurring. But I think it must be your pin or drive problem where you slot it. If every thing is ok than it should work. Or it may be your memory card fail or crashed.
