GBA SP Less-handheld WIP

Ok, here's my idea.
I want to get my GBA SP and put it in a Nintendo 64 controller, so the N64 d-pad is now the GBA SP d-pad, the a and b n64 buttons are now GBA SP a and b buttons, L and R n64 shoulder buttons are now L and R GBA SP shoulder buttons, the charging port is where the cord at the front comes outta the controller, the volume control is on one side of the controller (left) and on/off is on the right side, and the game slot where the memory/rumble pack went (could someone verify if you can (reasonably easily) relocate the GBA SP game slot). I'm not sure about where the start and select buttons are going, but the N64 start button is being removed so there's enough room for the screen. What sizes are the GBA SP and Micro screen, because I was just looking, and I'm not sure it'll fit unless I have a smaller screen.

I'm going to keep the analog stick, and all the buttons, to keep the overall look, and leave out the frontlight on/off switch out, unless I change my mind.

I was originally going to use a Gameboy Micro, until I found out that they couldn't play gameboy colour (I'm Australian, so it's not color ) or the original gameboy games.

So far I've got:
GBA SP [] (I have one, but my mum won't let me take it apart)
GBA charger [x]
Gameboy games [x]
N64 controller [x]
Tact switches []
Soldering iron []
Solder []
Money [x] (Just had a birthday :mrgreen: )
Triwing [] I'll get it off deal extreme, anyone got the link to the item?

Also, for my 5th or 6th birthday, if I remember correctly, I got a gameboy game, but it was a japanese game, so I cannot read a single thing. Can anyone tell me the name of it, in english, and if there is an english version.

I don't really know too much about this game, except that it was published/made by Tonkin House. I've been searching the net a bit but can't find a thing about it.

Here's a video I uploaded on YouTube of first-level gameplay:

P.S. If a moderator could embed the video and images, it would be muchly appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: The gameboy game code is DMG-KOJ

Your mum won't let you open it? Why not?

Also, if you're gonna open it you need a Triwing screwdriver, but I assume you know that much?

Use the IMG tags around the links to your photos. Can't remember how to do youtube.

Also, project sounds cool. I would suggest using the SP screen if you can, the micro is a bit too small to play for a long time.

@J.D
Yeah. I completely forgot to mention the triwing, I'll edit my post. You can get the triwings off dealextreme, can't you?
And yeah, it is stupid that she won't let me open it, my family has 6 of them already, it's not like one [mine] will go missed.

@zeturi
The only problem is that the SP screen (if I measured correctly) interferes with the B button on the controller. I could easily just move the screen to the left, but then it wouldn't be centred and look bad. I could use the bottom two c buttons instead for A and B, but then it wouldn't have the same overall effect/affect (I can never remember the difference).

Thanks for such quick replies.

Regardless of region the GBC has Color with American spelling.

If you must ask your mom to take things apart you are not ready to do this mod.

Yeah, DX sells triwing screwdrivers, but shipping takes FOREVER. Nonfinate Electronics sells an improved triwing screwdriver for only a dollar more but I'm not sure how much it will cost to ship to Australia.

βeta, thanks for the info. Have you played it? It's one of my favourite games I've played recently.

Bibin, the thing is that I don't live with my mum, so she wouldn't lat me take it home to my Dad's house, because then I'll have nothing to use when I go up there apparently. I'm just gonna buy one on ebay, found one for AUS$11 for the handheld, 10 GBA games, the charger, and a carry case. Of course I won't need the carry case, so I may just give it away..

J.D I've found a pretty good tool on ebay, it has trywing attachments, normal phillips head att., slot att., and gamebit attachments, so I can also use it when I finally make my N64 portable.

Not much to update, but I'll let you know when I get it. And is there a cheap place I can get tact switches? I know I can get them of ebay but are there any cheaper sites which sell 'em?
