Gamecube portable....sorta

I was thinking, Instead of building a Gamecube into a case.Just wirelessly transmit a video/audio signal to a receiver-screen-audio amp-speakers and use a wireless controller and put it into a small case. could this be done with more simplicity?

This can be done rather simply actually. I know techknott has made a PS3 (http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=35615) and an Xbox 360 (http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php ... 3&start=0l). It's really relatively simple to make.

Oh, and people have mixed results with 2.4ghz transmitters, as so many devices (Wifi, Bluetooth, Xbox 360 Controllers) all use that band. Look for a 900mhz or 5.8 ghz kit for better results.

It's simpler than making an actual portable. It called a console WVI, so in your case, a Game Cube WVI.

It's not worth it. WVIs have horrible range, making you tethered to the console. The whole point of portables is to carry it around with you.

You're gonna be stuck in your living room with this thing anyways, so why not just play the console on a bigger screen?
