gamecube portable DC - DC converter

Hi im making a gamecube portable and i have 7.4 volt batteries (I think....I forgot lol) and i want to step it up to 12 volts for the gamecube. So can you guys tell me what i should buy ( I have a revision C mobo if that matters)
Can't you get the gamecube running off of stuff smaller than 12v? Any help would be appreciated. :p

It can run off 3.7v but 7.4 is recomeded depending on your design and how much work/ time your willing to put into it:)

I dunno much about voltage regulators sorry dude.maybe a step-up regulator of some sort.
make sure you check out the mega stickys day da bomb!

You can't make a custom regulator for Rev C boards, so wyadith's suggestion is not going to work.

Step up converters are very inefficient, too.

So either use a 14.8v or 11.1v lipo battery pack or get a new (Rev A or B) board and make a custom regulator.

It can only run off of 3.7 volts if you are using the Wiikey fusion mod. If you are using the disc drive, you need at least 5 volts.

He says he has a Rev C. That has an onboard regulator. Anything below 11.1v LiPos won't work and even 11.1v packs will cut out early.

Actually I fried my mobo but i have another gamecub thats like rev A or B but, I'm not gonna portabalize it maybe some day.
But i'm going to put a Qoob pro modchip in it :)
