Gamecube Caps removal

Hello,

I have a question regarding the caps near the videoplugs on the Gamecube motherboard "I have a slightly different revision than the one used in the trimming guide".
I removed the caps that are considerd filters and rewired the audio and composite filters between the signal lines.

I'm just left with the ones on the mobo and am wondering if they can be removed and left out completely.

I'm not going to use the onboard amp if that helps?

Thanks

It looks like the ones you've removed are for left audio, right audio, composite video, and one of the s-video lines (I can't remember if it's luma or chroma). You can remove the large cap and the smaller one close to the edge of the board because they are attached to the preamp. The other small cap, however, is attached to the AV chip it the chip may not function without it.

Edit: Sorry, I was wrong. You can remove both of the caps of the left and the large cap since they all go to the preamp. The tinier one closest to the GPU is the one that must stay (connected to the AV chip).

So let me get this straight, I can remove the remaining 3 Caps close toghether on the left side and leave the small one near the Ati chip on the right side?
Just asking because your edit info isn’t different from before.

Thanks

Yeah, you can remove all those on the left. Before my edit I thought you had to keep one on the left.

Blarga, you tha man!

All is working. This will surely help in keeping the portable small.
Thanks
