So I was trying not to desolder because I don't have my soldering stuff with me, so I tried removing the ports with pliers and did something, that I think, is bad. I removed the control and ground out of the actual port not the board. And now i can look the the little holes and see through. Is there anyway to get the metal back in, or will i have to try using usb stuff?

Or just solder to the hole. it works too.

Another alternative is to desolder one of the other ports and use that.

Update: Okay, so I got the resistors and capacitors. I have a question about switches.

1) Where do I get an 8 pin?
2) How many pins for the ps1 screen and where do I solder it?

Update: Soldering=GOOD!! The chip came in from TI today so I'll solder that tomorrow, however, my parents bugged me about a job, so i work from 90-4... Building robots for 4 weeks. XD $700 here I come!!!

You only need an SPST switch. You can get one at radioshack.

For power, about 22AWG. Signal (A/V, controller data, etc.) can be anything. I use IDE.
