First project ideas?

Hey guys,
So I'm new to this website and new to modding in general. I'm taking engineering classes in highschool so I have a very basic understanding of circuits and electricity. Does anybody have some ideas for my first project? It should be pretty simple and I would like it to help me get a better understanding of digital electronics and modding. Thanks guys!

It really depends on what you know and like to do. If you know the basics of electronics I would go to like RadioShack and buy one of the make your own radio kits. If you want something more ambitious I would start a nes portable.

Do you play guitar by any chance? Battery powered guitar amps are fun and not very difficult.
